Our sites are ready, our teams are in place, and our campers are coming! Tomorrow, we will welcome the medical teams and volunteers for Camp Hope, Camp Courage, Camp Carpe Diem, and Camp WeeKanEatIt, and then the Campers on Sunday!
Our staff have been working tirelessly getting each camp ready, training staff, and preparing for our campers. I cannot say enough about how passionately and skillfully our staff work to make sure that every detail is handled. From our Kitchen teams who create such special memories for our campers as they keep them nourished, to our Site and Facilities teams that have gone over every inch of each camp to make sure things are safe, clean, and ready; and from our Program teams who have recruited, trained, and empowered some 70 young people from all over the country to create meaningful relationships and powerful lessons for our campers, to our Development and Administrative teams who make sure that we are well resourced and doing our work in effective and efficient ways. There are so many moving parts, and it is because of the work of our Volunteer Leaders that we are able to accomplish so much on behalf of our campers. It promises to be a tremendous summer, and we're delighted to share with you the magic of camp!!
On behalf of all of our Camp Team, Dan Mathews, Chief Operating Officer
